Deuteronomy 31:6 Be strong and courageous! Do not fear or tremble before them (or the circumstances). For the Lord your God himself goes with you. He will not forsake you or forsake you.

As a child of God, life isn't always easy. There will be difficulties, sadness, insecurities, pain, perhaps loneliness. After all, we live in a broken world. But the Good Shepherd makes all the difference. No matter what happens, we'll never be alone. Not only do we have a Shepherd who is always there for us, but this Shepherd knows from experience what we are going through! He walked the earth as we do. Surrounded by hatred, envy, indifference. He has felt what we sometimes feel: loneliness, hunger, thirst, pain, sadness, rejection, torture, until death followed. He knows what it is. And He promised us: I will never forsake you, I will never leave you.
